After many years travelling the hidden villages of Borneo I finally return to England and married my long term reiki therapist.
I first started using a camera that came in a ‘Fortnum and Mason’ Christmas Cracker and although the picture of Father with the scullery maid did not go down too well, it started me on my way in the world of photography.
I first joined a photographic society in 1919 not long after the end of the 1st world war. I found that I was initially ostracised for my excessive manipulation of the photograph, using the differential engine and an early version of photoshop.
I have moved into the politics of organised amateur photography holding the position of Honorary General Secretary of the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union and it is my intention to canvas the current members to allow women into our local photographic societies.
